Research and Evaluation
A study undertaken by the IABC (International Association of Business Communicators) Research Foundation, surveyed internal communicators from 472 companies around the world and reported consensus on the top three communication issues facing organizations:
- Managing information overload
- Aligning employees with the company’s business strategy
- Improving manager/supervisor communications to frontline employees
Tom has worked with several companies devising strategies to address these very issues. He can work with your company on these and a host of challenges that may be hampering the effectiveness of your organization’s communication efforts. According to Lou Gerstner (former CEO of IBM) in his book, Who Says Elephants Can’t Dance? Inside IBM’s Historic Turnaround, “Good strategies start with massive amounts of quantitative analysis… analysis that is blended with wisdom, insight and risk taking. Truly great organizations lay out strategies that are believable and executable.”
Through his wide range of experience, Tom has acquired the wisdom and insight that mitigate risk — and maximize efficacy. He has spearheaded several research programs to ascertain the data to inform robust communication strategies, increase the effectiveness of departmental functioning, and determine the most efficient and effective communication channels.
