Graphic Design

Tom has a long history of award winning graphic design dating back to 1992 when — in addition to his corporate communications activities — he established his own design firm, Graphic Details. With the philosophy that the medium and the message work together for optimum communicative results, he incorporates a strategic mindset in all his design work.

He studied fine art (painting) at the San Francisco Art Institute and graphic design (typography and publication design) at the Academy of Art College, San Francisco. Tom’s design clients encompass a broad spectrum of nonprofit and for profit organizations, from start-ups to long established corporate giants. In 1995, he received the Pinnacle of Success award from the American Association of Medical Society Executives for design of the San Francisco Medical Society’s membership directory. More recently, in 2006, he received The Communicator Awards’ Print Media Award of Distinction and the APEX Award of Publication Excellence for Mervyns’ redesigned employee magazine.
